1. Installation and Uninstallation

• If you use self-extracting exe distribution. Just run the file and follow the prompts.
• If you use zip file. Extract the all files and subfolders of the distribution zip file into the clean folder. Run "setup.exe" and follow the prompts. Please always extract zip file prior to installation, do not run "setup.exe" from inside zip file.

Note users of Windows XP, 2000 and NT 4.0: you need administrative rights for the installation. If you can't install the software, ask your system administrator or log in under administrator account.

To run the software, use Start > Programs > ZZEE Art HTML Listing 3+ > ZZEE Art HTML Listing.

Note. Version 3+ is not compatible with v 2.x, that's why the program doesn't install over v 2.x. If you have v 2.x installed, then the both versions will be kept on installation.

Note. If you install over 3.x version then the program will keep your templates. If you want to overwrite the template files, then first uninstall the old installation and then install the new one.

To uninstall the software, use Add/Remove Programs link from Control Panel.

2. Requirements

Operating system: Windows XP / 2000 / 98 / ME. The program was not tested on Windows 95 and NT4.0, however, it perhaps will work on NT4.0 with SP6 installed.

At least 800x600 monitor (1024x768 or more is highly recommended).

3. Introduction

4. HTML Output Compatibility

All ready made templates that generate HTML files, create valid XHTML code, which validates with W3C HTML validator. This ensures the best compatibility possible. Additionally, you can modify the templates to conform to other standards.

Note, the output is correct in full registered mode only. In evaluation mode unclosed tags are possible, and therefore the HTML output may not validate as XHTML, as well as XML output may be incorrect.

4.1. "Safe" Javascript

If a shipped AHL template uses Javascript to achieve some effect, such as sorting or collapsing, then it is designed to be compatible with browsers which have javascript turned off or not supported. In this case all content should be available to a website visitor anyway, only visual effects will be lost. We call it "safe" Javascript. This is important as many users have javascript turned off for security reasons.

Javascript code was tested in IE 6 / 5, Firefox 1 / Mozilla 1.7, which are the most popular browsers at the moment of the release.
